Hopkins WOD 2021
First Annual Hopkins WOD Day:
On Saturday June 26th we will be participating in the First Annual Hopkins Hero WOD Day in support of Foundation 6141. This organization was formed to continue the work of Nick Hopkins, a local Illinois State Trooper killed in the line of duty on August 23rd, 2019. Nick was a lifelong resident of Waterloo, IL. This workout is near and dear to Coach Josh as he played college football with Nick and his brother Zach at McKendree University. You can learn more about Foundation 6141 and Nick’s dedication to his family, career, and community HERE.
We will be replacing our regularly scheduled CrossFit classes on June 26th to complete this workout in honor of Nick along with other area gyms. Registration is required to complete the workout that day. The cost is $30 and includes a commemorative t-shirt. All proceeds go directly to Foundation 6141. Once registered, you will book your workout time in the Pike13 app using our Group CrossFit Class option at 7:15, 8:15, or 9:15am (special time for this event only). If you are already registered for class that day, please complete the registration process to participate or remove yourself from the class if you do not wish to participate.
The workout is as follows:
3 Rounds of:
61 Calorie row
41 Kettlebell Swings, 53/35
25 Push Ups
68 Air Squats
9 Strict Pull Ups
Finish with a 400m plate carry, 45/25lb
*Workout can be completed individually or with a partner and as always will be scaled accordingly to meet your personal needs.
